Are you ready to transform your house into something unique? We’re here to help! You’re right! Making melts of wax using natural ingredients is easy. The process should take about 20 minutes (plus some hours for the melts to set). Here’s the information you should be aware of.
Ingredients
- 15-20ml essential oils*
- 200g of beeswax beads
- 100g coconut oil
- 10g candles (add more to get a stronger color)
Select any essential oil (or an oil blend of essential oils!).
Equipment
- Glass bowl with heat-proofing properties
- Saucepan
- Large spoon
- Silicone Ice Cube Tray
Method
- Heat a large saucepan filled with water up to a boil.
- Utilize the double boiler method.
In a saucepan, add around 300ml of water. Bring the water to a boil on the stove.
Combine the beeswax, coconut oil, and candle dye.

Stir it well.
Add the beeswax, coconut oil, and candle dye to the heat-proof glass bowl. Place the bowl in the boiling water to ensure it starts warming up. Please use a large spoon to mix the mixture while they melt.
Add essential oil
Make any combination you want!
Once the beeswax and oil are melted, remove them from the stove. Incorporate the oil you like and stir thoroughly.
Store in a sealed container
The wax melts will have the most potent and pleasant smell if you allow them to rest for a few weeks. Keep them in a dry place in a tightly sealed container or plastic bag to ensure they don’t lose the scent.
How to Enjoy Your DIY Wax Melts
I prefer using wax melt liners inside the melting cup to avoid mess. However, they’re not necessary. They look like cupcakes; however, cupcake paper won’t be influential. Believe me when I say that I’ve tried it! The wax oozes through the pores and creates a huge mess.
Put two or three soy wax melts in the cup that melts on the warmer, then switch the heat on. It’s as simple as that! You can reuse your wax until it stops giving an aroma you like.
